27 Sep VIP Exec Board and Team Coaching
After a journey span over 10 months, Team Coaching process with Executive Board of Volunteers for Ideas and Projects Association (VIP) came to an end.
Together, the team and coaches took time for celebration and reflections.
Within a very challenging mandate due to its short time frame, the executive board team with these beautiful, daring, ambitious, empathic, and carrying people was open to trying and learning from Team Coaching.
I would like to take this opportunity and sincerely congratulate this team for their courage, achievements and for what they left behind, contributing to continuity of transformation in the executive board working frame and improving their services for their stakeholders!
Together with Vlad Dutescu as co-coach, we were accompanying them, co-creating, sharing, building, and moving forward in a trustful and healthy partnership.
This is an entire business case with much learning from both sides, to which I will come back often in my future posts.
Today, I would like to approach an important step which was opening the focus and awareness towards the stakeholders. And here I’m talking about the diagnosis phase.
Here it is a paragraph from the feedback we got from Cătălina Pîslaru, VIP President of Executive Board in 2022-2023 mandate:
“Thanks to your […] professional approach, we were able to identify and focus on the most important stakeholders for our organization, which led to a better understanding of their needs and expectations. This strategic clarity has allowed us to focus our resources and efforts in the right direction.[…]
The diagnosis stage we went through together was extremely beneficial, helping us to analyze and deeply understand how our team works. With your careful guidance, we were able to successfully navigate through complex processes, such as recruitment, the induction of the new generation into the organization, and the implementation of an effective intermediate feedback system within our organization”[….]
In todays’ complexity success, performance and impact become sustainable while you get around your stakeholders, being able to listen to them, involving them in building your strategy as well as in your development as a team, asking them for feedback and for help.
How to identify them ? Who are those more relevant to your team ? What does it mean relevant for your team ? How do they see you as a team ?
These are questions to be answered in the diagnosis phase.
This is what VIP Executive Board team was doing. Unexpected feedback, unknown needs, different perceptions, lack of clarity in communications, all these were part of a valuable feedback bunch. They were reading, reflecting, sharing between each other feelings, emotions, own fictions. And then…deciding how to move forward and address what they considered as priority establishing objectives and action plan.
And…if they did it, what is stopping you to try it ?
That’s food for thought…Trying, exploring while you may encounter many times the unknown will pay off. How? For each of us discoveries and insights are unique. Together they will shape unbelievable journeys, connecting eco-systems and communities.
