Breaks are especially important now that the offices have moved home.
Before the pandemic, coffee breaks in the specially arranged area (at the offices) or on the nearest terrace were good moments to get out of the content. So necessary and beneficial!
Today you are in your space and I offer you some ideas on how to spend your work breaks:
- listen to audiobook
- call a friend and have a conversation
- get up from your chair and do some exercise
- look outside and observe nature carefully for a few minutes
- breathe consciously, focusing your attention on the abdomen;
- listen to your favorite music.
Any of these means only 5-10 minutes, but the effect is precious. Inspiration, creativity and good concentration quickly return. An important break is after lunch. At the end of it, I feel like I have slept soundly for hours on end. Energy returns and efficiency increases.
Rhythm awareness is essential! It seems simple but to progress you need exercise.
In addition, I add the idea of a break in the pace of work through breaks of a few days (even 1-2 weeks). The resumption of the activity materializes in fast and quality results.
Most of the time you refuse to do this because you keep saying to yourself “I can’t stop now, I have a lot of work to do”.
It is just that what you get at the end of a break is extremely valuable both for the activity itself and for you as a human being.
